This collection of video case studies featuring ERCP procedures using cholangioscopy is presented to help familiarize physicians with a variety of video case studies intended to demonstrate how cholangioscopy may impact clinical patient care. Videos featuring biliary conditions such as biliary stones and primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) have been included, with additional cases being added as they become available. Biliary Stone Diagnosis & Lithotripsy with EHL and Laser

Cystic Duct Stone/Mirizzi Syndrome Case Studies

A 72-year-old-female presented with post-laparoscopic cholecystectomy and underwent 2 failed ERCPs to remove a large biliary stone.

A 54-year-old with a history of Down Syndrome and pyloric stenosis presented with jaundice and abdominal pain.

A 58-year-old patient underwent 2 failed ERCP procedures in an attempt to remove an obstructing 8mm stone. The patient was then referred for an ERCP with cholangioscopy using the SpyGlass™ DS System. Cholangiopscopy confirmed the stone was located in the cystic duct, and Dr. Webster used EHL to fragment and clear the stone in a single-session.

A 57-year-old man presented to a referring hospital with right upper quadrant pain, fever and elevated liver chemistries. An ERCP was performed and multiple large stones were identified in the cystic duct; consistent with the diagnosis of Mirizzi’s Syndrome. Unfortunately, the cystic duct stones could not be removed laparoscopically, and patient was referred to our center for a second attempt at endoscopic stone removal using cholangioscopy with EHL.
